Brian got to see this geyser erupt - I missed it, but found it lovely anyway.

Old Faithful - this may not be the highest geyser or have the most spectacular erruptions - but it certainly is faithful. 90% of the time it goes off within 10 minutes of the predicted time. It delivers from 4 to 8 thousand gallons of water, shooting from 80 to 200 feet. Amazing.
Beehive geyser. This one goes off whenever - not real predictable, though usually twice a day. We were lucky to catch it as it is considered one of the most magnificent. It is a cone type and shoots straight up - 200 ft or so.
Brian, near the end of Beehive's eruption. He got quite soaked protecting the other camera and getting some great shots.
Riverside geyser. This had spectacular rainbows and was quite large, reaching across thiver, but by the time I got the camera together the best show was past.
Cone of Giant geyser and the ubiquitous Raven.
Beauty pool. The thermophlic algae causes the coloring on the edges, where the temperature is cool enough for it to grow.
Pearl Spring, the clear water in the middle is very HOT!
Equinus geyser - this is a fountain type geyser. It made lots of waves in the water as it erupted to 30 feet or so.
Porciline basin turely looked like its name and was very beautiful in a geologic way.
Steamboat geyser. The biggest of them all. Blows up to 400 feet. It went off on May2nd - we missed it. First erruption since 1991. Sounds and feels like an earthquake when it goes, very powerful.
West Thumb area - note Yellowstone Lake in the background. This is the biggest high altitude inland lake. It is here they had the hook and cook attraction of early days.
